about

I am in love with myself, which poet Michael C. Ford called “beautiful chaos” while sitting in on a mixing session at Henhouse Studios, is a culmination of everything starting with Fowler's formation as underclassmen at Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts, of which all three—Forrest Nolan (multi-instrumentalist/vocalist), Eli R-A (guitar/vocalist) , and Simon Clinton (drummer/vocalist)—are recent graduates. “It’s our first full-length release; it’s kind of like a you spend your whole life writing your first album sorta thing,” says R-A; and indeed Fowler seems to be putting their “whole lives” into their newest project, amalgamating a multitude of influences—ranging from Grizzly Bear and Radiohead, to their favorite Jazz and Classical composers, like Brian Blade and Arvo Pärt—in hopes of creating a fresh and dynamic record.
